The overall design of the cabin is modern and efficient does everything it can to portray the image of high-tech luxury. All of the controls are solid and have good response times. One notable addition to the 2012 GT-R is the navigation screen. While other cars will offer a few diagnostic options, Nissan has taken it farther than ever before by offering real time driving data such as cornering force, gear position and even lap time. Proving that they’re serious about power, Nissan has teamed up with the company behind video game series Gran Turismo, to bring owners of the 2012 Nissan GT-R this amazing new display</p><p><br /></p><p>While all of this modern technology is impressive, we find all of the true power under the hood. The 2012 GTR is powered by a monster of an engine. Nissan has managed to pack in a twin turbocharged 3.8 liter V6 engine which means that this car has enough muscle to rival some of the most famous supercars available. The engine delivers a whopping 530 horsepower with almost 500 foot pounds of torque. All of this tells us that Nissan is set to compete with some of the most serious speed demons on the market. In fact, the 2012 GTR can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 3 seconds and has no problem maintaining speeds of almost 80 miles per hour on a test slalom. All of this power is being routed through the 2012 GT-R’s advanced AWD based automatic, six speed dual clutch transmission. While some purists may complain about the automatic transmission, Nissan has made sure that the 2012 Nissan GTR is accessible to a variety of drivers.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><br /></p><p>Not to be outdone in the style department, Nissan is releasing the 2012 GTR with a number of different option packages as well. To start out with we have the standard package which boasts an impressive array of features that would be premium on any other car. From 20 inch alloy wheels, to Xenon headlights, day time running lights , heated seats, keyless ignition and a Bose sound system, it’s hard to imagine how Nissan packed this many features into such a fast car. In addition to all of this the standard package even includes blue tooth connectivity, an iPod dock and a navigation system with almost 10 gigs of storage that brings real time weather and traffic updates.
